To commemorate the second anniversary of the opening of the "OnigiriBurger Kansai International Airport Main Branch," two new menu items themed around "SOBA-MESHI," a local soul food from the Kansai region of Kobe, will be available from Friday, December 5, 2025.

Since its opening on December 5, 2023, OnigiriBurger has been introducing various Japanese foods through collaborations with unique local ingredients and producers, and has been offering a wide variety of menus that match the seasons and special events.

OnigiriBurger started as a pop-up inside Kobe's Sannomiya Station, and its operator, Okagesama Co., Ltd., is headquartered in Kobe. In recent years, Kobe's food culture has been increasingly featured at events, garnering attention as B-grade gourmet and local soul food.

Taking this background into consideration, OnigiriBurger has chosen sobameshi, a representative example of Kobe's local soul food, from among the many options available.

The theme for the 2nd anniversary is focusing on "SOBA-MESHI," a local soul food from Kobe, Kansai!

For the second anniversary, the menu features sobameshi, a local soul food that has been loved in the downtown area of ​​Kobe for over half a century. Served in the Japanese Burger style, yakisoba is sandwiched between rice and seaweed buns, and the yakisoba, rice, and sauce come together to create a freshly made sobameshi experience with every bite.

Yakisoba noodles and freshly cooked rice are grilled on a piping hot iron plate. The immoral combination of "carbohydrates x carbohydrates" is satisfying all at once, and is a dish that symbolizes the B-grade gourmet culture of Kansai and Kobe.

The thick noodles sizzle on the thick iron plate, releasing a fragrant aroma. Over the past two years, OnigiriBurger has pursued a new way to enjoy Japanese food culture with one hand, through various initiatives such as collaborations with local ingredients, seasonal and special menus, and venturing into the vegetarian (friendly) area.

The fact that we have reached our second anniversary at Kansai International Airport since our pop-up at Kobe Sannomiya Station, where the brand first began, is a humbling achievement made possible only by the support of our customers and all those involved, and is the very spirit embodied in our company name, "Thanks to You."


Thanks to you, we have been able to come this far. We are truly grateful.

In 2026, our third year, we will continue to take advantage of the strength of having the owner of a famous sushi restaurant that is difficult to book into developing the menu, and we hope that not only overseas customers but also busy Japanese people can enjoy "authentic Japanese food" in the limited time before their flight! With this desire in mind, we will continue our challenge to deliver "delicious Japanese soul food" to the world.

Our rating of 4.6 stars on Google Maps (as of December 5, 2025) is a major driving force for us to continue evolving. All of our staff are deeply encouraged by the smiles and comments from our many customers that our restaurant is delicious.
